A Winter Evening

An old country road
Pine trees are laced in white snow
And wind is blowing

A little cottage
Sits on a cobblestone path
Next to a great wood

With frost-kissed windows
Warm lights come from within it
Welcoming cold nights

Holding his lantern
A snowman greets passers-by
In their sleighs and bells

Rosy cheeks and nose
Little boy comes home to rest
After a long day.

Cocoa warms the lips
Fireside chatting begins;
A perfect evening

Wonder

The wonder of you
Was revealed to my heart when
I first saw your face.

Sunlight

Sunlight paints oak trees
With peals of color and life
A sigh escapes me.

All over the world daily

Cacophony Silenced

Sounds of a city
Create a cacophony
Silenced in darkness.

Observation

Too many people
Have lost their light, their shadows
Flicker on the wall.

Make A Wish

Flickering wishes
Smile up from the stream
With coin-shaped faces.

Just Another Crush

Sharing a smile
For one moment, our hearts touch
Just another crush.

Imperfections

The trees, like my friends
All the more interesting for
Their imperfections.

In our dreams we are
Whoever we wish to be
I wish to be me.

All that is left
Of the lone dandelion

I Fell For You

You came to me like
The whisper of autumn, and
Like it's leaves, I fell.

Windblown Flowers

Loves me, loves me not
Windblown flowers, show and tell
Yet have no answers.
